Vargamäe Film Days

On November 23-25, 2017, Vargamäe Film Days will be held at Tammsaare Museum in Vargamäe. In addition to the exciting movies, the audience is captivated by the place where the movies are screened which adds mysticism and romance.

The film days will begin on November 23 and will take place on three consecutive days. It is possible to see movies from three different genres: a documentary ‘Snow on the Krasnaya Polyana’ that talks about Estonian villages in Sochi; a comic tragedy ‘The Days That Confused’, which takes audience back to the Estonian 90s; and a fantasy ‘November’, which takes place in the Estonian village, where werewolves, plague, and spirits move around. The films begin on the first two days at 6 p.m. and on the last day at 5 p.m.

"Vargamäe has proven to be a great place to watch theatre. We believe that it is also a very good place to watch films," says Reelika Räim, the director of the Tammsaare Museum in Vargamäe. "We have chosen films based on the fact that every person would find something suitable, and we want to share one of Tammsaare's interest, the writer also liked to go to the cinema," adds Räim.

The films are shown in cooperation with Kinobuss NPO.

A real film buff will be offered a discount: a three-day ticket will cost 10 €, a discount ticket 6 €; on the other hand, a ticket for one day costs 5 €, a discount ticket 3 €.

It is advisable to arrive for about an hour before the start of the first screening to get to know the museum.
