Trip to Narva

This time, we are going to see completely different places in Estonia and approach Ida-Virumaa or North-East with its rich and versatile history.

Starting from the centre of Tallinn, we are going to drive with you along the Northern coast of the country. During this part of the trip, you are going to hear some general facts and basic information concerning life in Estonia. We will also focus on folk beliefs of the past centuries and find out how to become friends with the spirits. In addition, we will get to know some interesting facts about  notorious Estonian pirates  and the most famous Baltic Germans.

The first stop is going to be next to Valaste waterfall with a picturesque view of the Baltic Sea. After that, we are going to continue to Sillamäe – a town known for the oil shale mining. Here, we are also going to have a closer look at a central alley with a restored complex of stunning buildings of the 1950s and have a short walk along the brand new promenade.

Finally, we are going to reach our main destination – Narva. In Narva, we are going to have a look at the Narva Castle, Town Hall, the Kreenholm manufactury (from the outside), and even the actual border with Russia. On the way back, we are going to solve a quiz about the information we have learned during the trip.
