Padise-Haapsalu

What have you heard about Haapsalu? Rather a small town in the North-West of the country, it started its’ history as Bishop’s residents and later turned into an Imperial resort during the period of Russian Impair. The history of Haapsalu is rich with a number of famous people who visited this place. 

Now Haapsalu is considered to be the centre of the Swedish community keeping the traditions of handcraft and culture.

On our way to Pärnu we will be visiting the ruins of Padise Monastery. This Cistercian monastery was built during 200 years and had its highest rise in the 14th-15th centuries. Harju-Risti Church was the place that had one of the most important relics of the monastery preserved.

1.35 pm – 2.00 pm Haapsalu railway station
2.15 pm – 3.15 pm lunch
3.15 pm – 5.00 pm walking tour of Haapsalu
5.00 pm – 6.00 pm free time in Haapsalu
6.00 pm – 7.30 pm return to Tallinn

The bus departs from GOtsa street (small street in the city center between Estonia theater and the secondary school.)

Before entering the bus we will check if you have one of the following:
  • vaccine passport (proof of immunization)
  • certificate of having had COVID-19 ( valid 180 days after the positive test result)
  • a valid certificate of a negative COVID-19 test result ( SARS-CoV-2 antigen-RTD test must be completed up to 48h prior to the visit; SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR test must be completed up to 72h prior to the visit)

If a participant arrives without proof of Covid-free status, then we can`t accept you to the trip.
