This is Amy Berg’s heart warming  documentary about  the blues queen  Janis Joplin, who  is a part of the so called 27th club, a gang of  rare talents, who died at the age of 27.  The film consists of conversations with Janis’s loved ones and colorful archive materials, as colorful as she was.

Time to take a trip on the Estonian memory lane. This concert symbolically represents one of Ruja’s many forbidden concerts from the beginning of 1970s. All of the music is made by Rein Rannap and  the texts are from  one of the most legendary  Estonian  poet, Jüri Üdi / Juhan Viiding. While a large part of those songs  has been recorded once in some form and is available to listeners today, many songs will sound for the first time in more than 40 years at this concert.

There will be performances from Iceland, Faroe Islands, Shetland Islands, Åland, Gotland and, naturally, Estonian islands.  The festival people told us, that every festival-goer must surely take time to also visit the Devil’s Island but they wont say why but told us, it will become evident in Käsmu in August!
